Print this free Australia flag coloring page, then colour the blue with a large star and a union jack using the guide below. The Australian flag was adopted in 1908.
The large seven-pointed white star beneath the Union Jack is the Commonwealth Star. Its six original points stood for the six colonies that federated in 1901, and a seventh point was added in 1908 for the territories. Five white stars of the Southern Cross fill the far half of the flag, while the Union Jack in the top corner records British settlement.
Fill the blue field first with long strokes, then colour the red crosses inside the Union Jack in the top-left corner, leaving their white edges empty. The six white stars stay empty too, since the white page shows through for them.
