Qatar Flag Coloring Page

A white serrated band of nine points sits at the hoist, dividing the white from a deep maroon field that fills the rest of the flag. The maroon shade came from poor-quality red fabric dye that faded and darkened in the desert sun, and the nine points stand for Qatar as the ninth reconciled emirate to sign a treaty with Britain in 1916. The flag is the widest national flag in the world at a ratio of eleven to twenty-eight and was adopted on 9 July 1971.

Colour the maroon field first with broad strokes, then leave the white serrated band empty at the hoist. The white band has a zigzag edge, so trace that line carefully with a fine tip.
