Netherlands Flag Coloring Page

Three equal horizontal bands of red at the top, white in the middle and blue at the bottom have flown over the Netherlands since the sixteenth century, making it one of the oldest tricolours still in use. The colours began as orange, white and blue, the banner of William of Orange in the Dutch revolt against Spain, and the orange was gradually replaced by red by the seventeenth century. The red was formally confirmed in 1937.

Start with the red band at the top using long horizontal strokes, then leave the white middle empty and fill the blue band at the bottom. All three bands are the same height, so measure them first.
