Colombia Flag Coloring Page

The flag of Colombia has three horizontal bands: yellow along the top, then blue, then red. The proportions are unusual. The yellow band fills the entire top half of the flag on its own, and blue and red divide the bottom half between them. Most tricolors split evenly into thirds, and this one does not. Colombia shares its colors with Ecuador and Venezuela because all three grew out of Gran Colombia. What sets the Colombian flag apart is what it leaves off. Ecuador places a coat of arms in the middle of its flag. Venezuela adds an arc of white stars. Colombia carries neither. Three plain bands are the whole design. That makes the flag of Colombia one of the more straightforward flags to color. There is no emblem to work around and no small details to stay inside, just three clean stripes in the right proportions. The current version was adopted on 26 November 1861.

Start with the big yellow half at the top using broad horizontal strokes; then add the blue and red bands so they stay the same height. The design is simple, so it is a good choice for fast, even coverage.
